Things To Do in Glasgow

  • The Fayre Play - Competitive fairground games with a twist. Score yourself against pals, plus the chance to win a duck. Each entry includes 2 rounds of our 9 games – This should take around 60-90 minutes, but feel free to play at yer own pace, or enjoy some delicious bevvy & scran between gaming.
  • Play, Pie & A Pint - A new lunchtime play every week, running from Monday to Saturday at 1pm. Based at Òran Mór in the West End of Glasgow, A Play, a Pie and a Pint produces the most new-writing of any theatre in the UK. Founded by Colin Beattie and the late David MacLennan in 2004, the theatre company now premieres 35 new plays, running for 42 weeks of the year.
  • The Clydeside Distillery - We're proud to be the city of Glasgow's first dedicated single malt whisky distillery in over a century, and we warmly invite you to come and experience it.
  • The Vanguard Centre (archery, blacksmithing, historical martial arts)
  • Necropolis - The Necropolis is a Victorian garden cemetery full of wonderful architecture, sculpture and fascinating stories. Adjacent to Glasgow Cathedral, the Necropolis was modeled on Père-Lachaise in Paris. It is estimated that something in the order of 50,000 burials have taken place here, with around 3,500 tombs.
  • Bard in the Botanics - Outdoor festivals of Shakespeare are a tried and tested formula which has proven successful in almost every major cultural capital in Europe and North America. Bard in the Botanics is proud to have added the name of Glasgow to this list.
  • Bearsden Ski & Board Club - The club now provides one of the most advanced dry slope facilities in Britain incorporating the Main alpine slope, two nursery slopes and the UK's premier freeride slope for boarders and freeriders.
  • Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre - Entertaining and enthralling its audiences for over three decades since the original opening in 1989. Sharmanka features an extensive collection of kinetic (moving) sculptures assembled from found objects, beautiful scrap and exquisitely hand-carved characters. Each one of these 'kinemats' is fused with synchronised soundtrack and bespoke lighting design.

  • The Tall Ship - The Tall Ship is an independent museum committed to the preservation and interpretation of the Glenlee and the maritime history of the area for the benefit of local people and visitors to Glasgow.
