Campaigns in Glasgow

  • Clean Up Glasgow - We want to tackle the core causes of littering and to hold the UK & Scottish governments and Glasgow city council accountable for their role in failing to tackle the litter crisis.
  • The Campaign for Human Rights at Glasgow Uni - The real Glaswegian working class voice in the independence debate read by thousands, the BBC and other related media, secured the first criminal conviction against one of the seven top cybernats outed by the Daily Mail
  • Clydebelt - Clydebelt is dedicated to retaining and enhancing our heritage and the green belt status of the Kilpatrick Hills and their surrounding environment in Clydebank, Dumbarton, Milngavie, Bearsden and Glasgow.
  • Clyde Gateway - Clyde Gateway is Scotland’s biggest and most ambitious regeneration programme. It is a partnership between Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council and Scottish Enterprise, backed by funding and direct support from the Scottish Government.
  • Living Rent - Living Rent is Scotland’s tenants’ union. We are a democratic organisation run by and for tenants. We want homes for people, not for profit; to redress the power imbalance between landlords and tenants; and ensure that everyone has decent and affordable housing.
  • Glasgow Refugee Asylum and Migration Network (GRAMNet) - Bringing together researchers, practitioners and policy makers working with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland
  • Get Glasgow Moving - Campaign for a world-class, fully-integrated & accessible, publicly-owned & accountable, public transport network for everyone in our city. (Facebook)
  • Glasgow Games Monitor 2014 - We are a group of people raising awareness about the impacts of 'regeneration' via the Commonwealth Games 2014 (CG 2014), and the Clyde Gateway Intiative (CGI).
  • Save The Botanics Gardens Garage - The Botanic Gardens Garage is the oldest motor garage surviving in Glasgow, and quite possibly anywhere in the UK. Built in Vinicombe Street from 1906 - 1912, it was designed by David V. Wyllie, and has a distinctive façade of green and white glazed terracotta tiles.
  • Remember Mary Barbour - The campaign to create a lasting memorial to a great Govan hero
  • Something Is Missing: Govan - Some Thing Is Missing is a community project based in Govan, primarily looking into the history of Water Row.
  • Common Weal - Common Weal is a people-powered think and do tank in Scotland. We develop policy on and campaign for social and economic equality, for wellbeing and the environment, for quality of life, for peace and justice.
    • Common Weal Glasgow - We meet once a fortnight to discuss Scottish politics - current and future forms an independent Scotland might take. We also plan and hold public events with a variety of speakers and aim to encouraging involvement in local and Scottish politics.
