Musicians

  • Frankie Miller - Frankie is one of the legends of the British music scene, with a powerful voice that has drawn numerous comparisons. His distinctive voice and song writing ability have earned him the respect of his peers and that is reflected in the number of world renowned artists, including Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Cher, The Everly Brothers and Ray Charles, who have covered his songs.
  • SambaYaBamba A musical tour-de-force hailing from the sundrenched streets of tropical Glasgow. A 30-odd-piece drumming bateria and brass section rooted in the musical traditions of the Brazilian carnaval yet at the same time, very much tailored to a the Glasgow crowd.
  • John Higgins: Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar - After many years working as a street musician in Glasgow, playing for people walking back and forward, John has moved on to playing for people who are sitting down, with a gig at Tchai-Ovna teahouse in Otago Lane,on the last Thursday of every month.
  • Little Roots: John Hinshelwood - Over the last two decades, Glasgow based singer / songwriter John Hinshelwood’s finely crafted, country tinged songs have helped establish his reputation as a performer and writer of distinction.
  • Man Stuck in Barrel: Michael Simons - This page is dedicated to celebrating the music and puns of this legendary guitarist. While already having achieved a cult-following amongst blues and tea aficionados in Glasgow, we feel it's time that the man and the music are introduced to new audiences.
  • Ronan Francis Doran - Irish loop-wielding, freak-folk songster for hire.
  • Emma Pollock - My name is Emma Pollock and as a solo artist I sing, write songs and every now and again get around to recording them. I wasn’t always a solo artist though – my first musical adventure was with the band The Delgados formed in 1995 in Glasgow with Stewart Henderson, Paul Savage & Alun Woodward.
